Lake Karāpiro and the Mighty River Domain are host to the 36th Waka Ama NZ Sprint Nationals, January 11 - 17th 2026. With 4,000 paddlers aged 6 to 80, and 10,000 whanau and spectators attending across the week, it is one of the largest Waka Ama events in the world.

Please note entries are limited to 20 teams, and your registration is only confirmed once the full invoice is paid.

Payment of Entry Fees
- If you enter and pay before midnight December 1st 2025, you will be able to access the Early Bird discount.
- All entries and payments from December 1st will automatically default to the regular entry fee.
- If you enter and pay after the closing date of December 20th 2025, you will automatically be charged an additional Late Payment fee.
